Inglenorth Creates Demolition Employment Opportunities Through Sefton @ Work Event

Inglenorth recently took part in the Sefton @ Work employment session organised by Vinci, where our Health and Safety Manager, Tracy Marsh, spoke alongside others regarding careers in demolition. During the event, Tracy gave an overview of the Bootle Strand Project, explained the demolition work currently taking place, and highlighted previous projects we have completed. She also shared details of employment opportunities available at Inglenorth, including four demolition operative positions that were open at the time.
Following the session, 11 individuals went on to complete a week-long training programme in July. This programme was designed to prepare participants for a role in demolition and included the CCDO Labourer course, asbestos awareness training, and the Health and Safety touchscreen test, which was taken before the CCDO training began. Each participant also received revision support and tailored guidance to ensure they could complete the training successfully.
The outcome was very positive, with all participants achieving their CCDO Labourer card and asbestos awareness certification. We are especially pleased that two of those individuals have since joined Inglenorth as demolition operatives, taking their first steps into employment with our team. You can find out about the two new operatives below.
This initiative demonstrates the value of connecting local people with both training and work opportunities. At Inglenorth we remain committed to developing skills, supporting employment, and delivering safe and professional demolition projects across the North West. We look forward to continuing this work and providing further opportunities in the future.
